Latin Food Fest News Post of Eater Los Angeles Great ethnic food in LA is starting to percolate out of its natural habitats. Lunasia opened over the weekend in Pasadena, which isn’t necessarily a huge distance, but it’s still significant.

Sonoritas Prime Tacos is an ambitious new taqueria opening on Sawtelle, while Tacoteca has been making some very good tacosfor a few weeks in Santa Monica.

Vietnamese food is now a part of Pico Blvd in Santa Monica thanks to Viet Noodle Bar, which was a long fixture Atwater Village. Heck, even onigiri is heading to Melrose Avenue. Is this city-wide movement of ethnic cuisines out of enclaves a good thing? Or should these foods stick to the places where they’ll be the most appreciated?
