The second annual ¡Latin Food Fest!in San Diego is heating up: the three day festival (starting September 11) has announced their chef roster and event schedule and tickets go on sale April 11. On the bill: George Durán, Drew Deckman, Richard Sandoval, Chef Giovanni, Roberto Alcocer, and Sara Polczynski.

Like last year’s successful culinary extravaganza, ¡Latin Food Fest! is preparing gastronomy-centered events, food competitions, book signings, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, and live music by Grammy-nominated band, Quattro. The festival starts off with a bang at the Latin Spirits Symposium, the largest spirits event in California. Alongside classic crowd-pleasers like tequila and rum, purveyors will also introduce thirsty guests to lesser known Latin spirits like bacanora, pisco, and raicilla.

We’re also looking forward to: the Master Pairings, where you’ll get the chance to meet sommeliers from Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Spain and sample their crafts, each strategically paired with cheeses and hors d’oeuvres that highlight the underlying flavors of the wines; The Modern-Mexican Dinner, a fundraising gala to benefit Feeding America with a tasting menu by Richard Sandoval; the Latin Food Expo, Live on the Park and, the crown jewel of the festival and most attended annual Latin culinary event in Southern California, the Grand Tasting Village. Scheduled on the sprawling Embarcadero Marina Park North, this event will have everything from a wine-tasting tent and a craft beer garden to the ¡Taste TJ! street food pavilion and everything in between.
